GM Profile
Name: Kieren
Nickname: Sutek

Who am I, apart from the evil mastermind behind the game that spawned this very comic? My name is Kieren Smith, aka Sutek (I picked the name many years ago, before encountering it in the Fading Suns setting and discovering the interesting background to it within the setting). I am, as you might guess, a keen roleplayer, which is where this game came from in the first place (it started small, but grew into the most epic and well played game I have been priviliged to be involved in).
Apart from my love of the Fading Suns setting, I'm a big fan of sci-fi in general, and so many of my favourite elements of these have found their way into the game in some form or another. You might some of these from my favourite TV shows: Babylon 5, Farscape, Stargate SG-1 to name a few. Others with less influence, but no less awesome include the new Battlestar Galactica and Firefly.
For books, you could say that Peter F. Hamilton's Night's Dawn trilogy remain among my favourite examples of sentient ships (Voidhawks!), and the world wouldn't be the same if it wasn't for Iain M. Banks and the Culture novels, containing the worlds best starship names ever (and that's a fact!). Anne McCaffrey has to get her honourable mention too, for the Tower and the Hive series which inspired my own view of psionics and telepathy (but I've always had a soft spot for Dragons in general, and the Pernese dragons in particular). Finally, but not least, comes Julian May for his Saga of the Exiles series, and other books which link into that series (but I won't say why, so don't ask...knowledge is earned, not given!)
My love of sci-fi extends to films as well, but naming the best would take too long. Instead, the short list of those which influenced me the most for this game would have to include Event Horizon, Twelve Monkeys, Donnie Darko, Fifth Element and the rarely heard of Dark City.
